Kyk wie praat
Get ready for plenty of laughter and fun with the fourth season of kykNET’s entertaining game show Kyk wie praat.
“The magic of the show lies in the innocence of the little rascals who participate,” says the popular actor and host De Klerk Oelofse. “Children experience life just as we do, but the way they express it with honesty and innocence is hilarious and, at times, profoundly moving.”
The innocence and outspokenness of the kids and their unique perspectives are sure to capture viewers’ hearts.
De Klerk has been the host since the very first season. The little ones, all between six and nine years old, will keep the four adult contestants on their toes. It’s a quiz show with a twist.
De Klerk asks the kids questions, and the adult contestants must guess which of the children came up with each answer. Round by round, adult participants are eliminated until only one remains. That contestant stands a chance to win up to R30 000 in cash. Additionally, there’s a jackpot prize of R100 000 for the series winner.

Niggies: Drama series based on a horrific true crime hits the screen in March
In 1965, the young Issie Fourie and Petro Nel of sleepy Odendaalsrus in the Free State were abducted and murdered. Issie’s brother, André, swore to do whatever it takes to bring the perpetrator to book.
Niggies [Cousins], a drama series based on this crime that shook the country, was created with a stellar team – in front of and behind the cameras – and will debut on kykNET in May this year. The director is the acclaimed Jaco Bouwer, not only celebrated for his groundbreaking work in the theatre, but also for the international hit series Spinners that was filmed in and around Cape Town.
Leading the cast is Beer Adriaanse as the older André. Adriaanse is a seasoned actor-screenwriter-director, known for films like Wonderlus and Kanarie, and hit series like Hotel and Taktiek. The talented newcomer Janru Steenkamp plays the young André. Also starring is Carel Nel (Donkerbos, Hartstog), who was seen in the HBO Max series Raised by Wolves, and the internationally lauded eco-horror film Gaia, also directed by Jaco Bouwer.
Niggies begins with the double abduction and murder of Issie Fourie and Petro Nel in Odendaalsrus in 1965, but the series stretches across the 1960s and 1980s. The action takes place in Odendaalsrus, Allanridge and Kroonstad in the north-eastern Free State, a conservative part of a conservative country where these murders were even more shocking.
Exact premiere dates and a more complete cast list will be released later. Visit the kykNET website and join the conversation on kykNET’s X, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook pages.

One of the hit films from last year’s Silwerskerm Festival will be making its way to kykNET in February. Hier.Na, the first feature film directed by actress Quanita Adams, tells the story of the Burgess family – a typical, modern, culturally mixed South African family in Cape Town’s northern suburbs.
Eric is not religious, but his wife, Juleigha, who prefers to be called Julie, is a non-practicing Muslim. They have two children: Dean, a professional online gamer, and Leila, a medical student who has rediscovered her Muslim identity, to the great irritation of her mother. When Julie suddenly passes away, Leila takes it upon herself to arrange a Muslim funeral with the help of Julie’s mother.
The screenplay was written by Quanita Adams, and the cast includes David Isaacs, June van Merch, Trudy van Rooy, Shiefaa Hendricks, Lyle October, Beer Adriaanse and Emile Smit.
