Meet the cast
The star-studded cast includes Isithembiso and The Republic actor Lemogang Tsipa playing the titular role of Shaka (adult king) and newcomer Ntando Zondi (boy king) while Isibaya leading lady Nomzamo Mbatha will portray Queen Nandi, with The River actor Thembinkosi Mthembu starring as King Dingiswayo. Uzalo star Wiseman Mncube will play King Zwide, while Gomora actor Senzo Radebe has been cast as King Senzangakhona.
Nomzamo Mbatha will also serve as executive producer for the Shaka Ilembe, helmed by Isibaya creators Bomb Productions in partnership with MultiChoice.
