Critically acclaimed mystery drama series to hit your screens in August, starring Natasha Lyonne.
You may be familiar with the actress from Russian Doll and Orange Is the New Black. Now you can watch her in the new comedic thriller Poker Face. The show hits South African screens on DStv Premium at 9pm on Wednesday, 2 August on M-Net, DStv Channel 101.
With a lineup of renowned actors and exciting mysteries, there are plenty of layers for you to peel away. Variety calls it a “clever, winning mystery throwback” and “one of the strongest series yet to launch on Peacock”. The Guardian simply noted, “Lyonne is as mesmerising as ever.”

The cast and creators
Five times Emmy nominated actress Natasha Lyonne will be on the case in this Peacock original mystery from Academy Award-nominated director Rian Johnson, who’s best known for directing Star Wars: The Last Jedi and the Knives Out films. Lyonne plays Charlie Cale, a casino worker with an extraordinary ability to detect lies. After a close friend is murdered, she goes on the run across the United States, meeting colourful characters and solving strange crimes along the way.
Viewers will tune in to unravel a new mystery every week, as well as spot the stars with guest performances. The cast also includes Adrien Brody, Chloë Sevigny, and Ellen Barkin. Benjamin Bratt (Law & Order) and The Big Bang Theory’s Simon Helberg are show regulars.
