Nandi & The Rev on Mzansi Magic

Nandi & The Rev return to Mzansi Magic in July

One of Mzansi’s most talked-about couples Nandipha (Queen Nandi) and Reverend Mlombi are making a much-anticipated return to the screen with the second instalment of Nandi & The Rev from Sunday 12 July at 19:00 on Mzansi Magic. After Season 1, viewers were left with many questions regarding the couple’s dynamic and how they would navigate challenges they faced, especially after the birth of their seventh child.

This season, Nandi & The Rev are focusing on rebuilding after the storm, asking whether healing is truly possible when old wounds continue to resurface. Looking at modern marriage and leadership, the couple explores the couple’s partnership as Rev tries to reclaim his role as the head of the family with Nandi questioning what she wants in the relationship and for her personal growth.

Having made peace with the church, Rev starts to explore possibilities of starting his own ministry, looking at whether he can rebuild his credibility and redefine faith on his terms. There are also the intricate family relations issues as both are set to confront unresolved matters, including Nandi’s fractured relationship with her siblings and the Rev’s search for answers about his father.

Together, they must navigate marriage, family secrets, shifting roles and new beginnings as they attempt to create a stronger future for themselves and their children. With their now-familiar candidness, humour and even conflict, Season 2 of Nandi & The Rev provides a glimpse into what follows the storm and when the time comers to actually restore relationships.

Can love and trust help and what does it to be a leader in today’s marriage? Find the answers when Season 2 of Nandi & The Rev premieres on Sunday 12 July at 19:00.
