Smash Afrika in Big Brother Mzansi S6 Sunday Live Evictions

Mashel and Dene Jones evicted from the Big Brother house

Last night was another explosive night in Big Brother Mzansi S6: Bazozwa. Emotions ran high, alliances were tested, and the game took a dramatic turn as the nation made its decision. Mashel andDene Jones have been evicted from the Big Brother Mzansi house, making it a total of four housemates that have left the house so far. This follows the first big nomination for this season, which had 10 housemates up for eviction.

With the pressure mounting and the stakes higher than ever, the remaining housemates are left shaken, knowing that no one is safe and every move counts.

What happened at this week’s Sunday Live eviction show?

Tom London opened the Sunday Live Evictions Show with a performance featuring Zee_Nhle, Slick Widit singing Amagama. This was followed by Big Brother Mzansi host Smash Afrika saying what Mzansi was also echoing: “Tonight kusazoshuba!”

To show the intensity of Week 3, he took the audience through the nominations process: how the Housemates nominated each other and how the nominees felt.  Smash went on to chat to Tumi the Barber during the show and asked what he thought about his reign as Head of House, marking him as the first HoH to be kicked out of the luxury suite. Asking Liema if Tumi was more concerned about himself or leading the house, she said ‘definitely, he is more about Tumi’.

The evicted housemates

Mashel was the third Housemate to be evicted from the house, saying that he expected it because of who he was close to in the house, (possibly referring to Ofentse who was evicted last week).  The fourth housemate to leave Biggie’s house was Dene Jones who said she was ‘shocked’ at her departure since she still had someone to kiss in the house…that being Tumi the Barber.

This past Friday on Spills with Biggie with host Naledi MYolanda (Big Brother Mzansi S’ya Mosha), Tsholofelo Moyo aka cartier tsholo (Digital Creator) and Nombulelelo Fox (Film/TV/Entertainment Reviewer) accurately predicted that Mashel and Dene might be next to go home today, Sunday 1 February.

For more on Mashel and Dene Jones’ journeys in the house and plans, you can tune in to Beyond Umsindo on Thursday at 19:00 where Smash Afrika will unpack more.

All the other nominated Housemates were safe, with Smash ending with a message from Biggie:

Housemates, you may now go back to your beds, but know that comfort is temporary and this week, lines will be drawn!
