eVOD unveils its first Sepedi-language drama, ‘Bogaditšong’

etv has announced Bogaditšong, a gripping new Sepedi-language multi-generational drama premiering exclusively on eVOD on 12 June. Blending music, betrayal, legacy and survival, the series plunges into the ruthless world of the South African music industry, where the powerful Matlou dynasty rises and ultimately fractures under the weight of ambition and deceit.

At the heart of the story are The Bright Sisters, a once-iconic female music trio whose legacy is haunted by their ultimate betrayal their husband and group founder, Titus Matlou. Leading the stellar cast is, the music mogul Titus Matlou, played by Saint Seseli. A polygamist who has his jaws clinched in the Bright Sisters trio who so happen to be his wives.

The first wife is Manto Matlou played by Tsholofelo Matshaba the puppet master who has the other wives dancing to her tune. The second wife is Tshepang Matlou played by Motsoaledi Setumo, the unseen wife whose caught in a love affair within her marital home. The third wife is Precious Matlou played by Rorisang Mohapi-Grootboom, who is the young gold-digging wife, who’ll do anything to seek the spotlight.

Other characters include the likes of Shoki Mmola, who plays Puseletso, the original Bright Sister and mother to Titus’s heir, King played by Wiseman Zitha. Kagiso Lepota plays Leeto Matlou, Paul Maila portrays Lekgotlha and Melusi Mbele steps in as Msizi.

Told predominantly in Sepedi, Bogaditšong brings a rich cultural authenticity and emotional depth to the screen, celebrating language, music, and storytelling rooted in South African identity while exploring universal themes of love, betrayal, power, and redemption. This drama is brought to life by Reserved Projects, well known in the industry for their contributions to post-production on some of our favorite shows.
