M-Net releases official trailer for ‘Invisible’
The official trailer for INVISIBLE, the highly anticipated conspiracy thriller series based on Deon Meyer’s bestselling novel Blood Safari, has dropped and it’s already giving viewers a glimpse of the secrets, danger and high-stakes intrigue waiting to unfold. Bringing Meyer’s gripping world to the screen, the eight-part series promises a tense, twist-filled ride where nothing is quite what it seems and every discovery could lead to an even bigger mystery. The series premieres on M-Net (DStv Channel 101) on Wednesday, 14 October at 20:00, with new episodes airing weekly on Wednesday nights.
INVISIBLE stars Australian actress Abbie Cornish (Limitless, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) and Scottish actor Dougray Scott (The Hack, The Crow Girl), alongside South African talent Tim Theron (Trackers, Heart of the Hunter), Tumisho Masha (Isibaya, Silverton Siege), Frank Rautenbach (Summertide, Beter as Gister), Kim Engelbrecht (Reyka, Dominion), Chi Mhende (Generations: The Legacy, Queen Sono) and Siv Ngesi (The Woman King, Unseen).

Directed by Jozua Malherbe and written by Will Schneider and Deon Meyer, with additional writing by Amy Jephta, INVISIBLE follows bodyguard Martin Dekker and London-based expat Emma Le Roux as they uncover a decades-buried conspiracy in the South African Lowveld, while SAPS investigator Colonel Jack Phatudi closes in on a network of corruption reaching the highest corridors of power. The series draws on real events, including the mysterious 1986 plane crash that claimed the life of former Mozambican President Samora Machel.
Producer and star Tim Theron said:
Seeing the trailer finally out in the world is an incredible moment for all of us. We’ve poured years into bringing Deon’s story to the screen, and from the start we wanted to make something of a truly international standard, because our audience deserves nothing less. This trailer is just the first taste of what we’ve created. Mark your calendars for 14 October, you’re not ready.
Deon Meyer, author of Blood Safari and Executive Producer on INVISIBLE, said:
It’s a strange and wonderful thing to see a story you wrote alone at a desk turned into something this big. The trailer captures the tension and the landscape beautifully. I can’t wait for South Africa, and the world, to see the rest.
Yu-Fai Suen, Producer from Berkeley Media Group, said:
Excited for everyone to see the first trailer for our South African set action-thriller for ITV Studios and M-Net. On behalf of all the producers, thanks to our wonderful cast, including Abbie Cornish and Dougray Scott and Director Jozua Malherbe and our amazing local crew who brought this story to the screen. The audience will not be disappointed!
