Set against the vibrant backdrop of Durban’s evolving music scene, eGagasini: Waves of Change follows three ambitious best friends from Umlazi, Lwandle, Njabulo and Sihle, whose lives change forever after a viral music video catapults their trio, Truth or Dare, into the spotlight. Their dreams of stardom quickly become entangled in a devastating secret when a tragic accident aboard a yacht leaves a young woman dead. Bound together by guilt and fear, the trio enter a pact of silence to protect their future.
Meet the cast of eGagasini: Waves of Change
Leading the cast is veteran actor Meshack Mavuso as Senzo Dube, a legendary music producer and founder of Umlilo Records. Once a pioneer who helped shape Durban’s music landscape, Senzo is determined to restore his struggling empire to its former glory. Joining him is Gugu Gumede as Phumelela Dube, Senzo’s wife, business partner and the strategic powerhouse behind Umlilo Records. Smart, sophisticated and fiercely ambitious, Phumelela becomes the driving force behind the signing of Truth or Dare and their meteoric rise. Nolwazi Tsebesha as Noxolo Dube, the adored only child of Phume and Senzo, a confident, intelligent, and popular matric head girl who excels effortlessly.
