Who is behind Umthetho?

Umthetho is produced by Black Brain Pictures, the acclaimed production company behind several successful South African dramas. The executive producers are Mandla N, Mpumelelo Nhlapo and Annelie van Rooyen. The series is directed by Mandla N, Johnny Barbuzano and Jonathan “Jono” Hall, while Mandla N and Melissa Nayimuli serve as creative directors. The writing team is led by head writer Jose Domingos, alongside Rami Nhlapo, Boitumelo Masemola and Makanaka Mavengere, promising layered storytelling and emotionally charged drama.
