Netflix’s biggest supernovela to light up the screens
The Polygamist|Stream from 12 June

The Polygamist is the gripping new supernovela adapted from Sue Nyathi’s acclaimed novel. Produced by award winning Stained Glass Productions, the 22 episode drama stars Gugu Gumede and S’dumo Mtshali as Joyce and Jonasi Gomora, a seemingly powerful couple whose world begins to crack under the weight of betrayal, ambition and secrets. As Jonasi’s carefully built empire starts collapsing, the wives and mistresses in his life expose the man behind the image. The ensemble cast includes Kwanele Mthethwa, S’thandiwe Kgoroge, Kenneth Nkosi, Celeste Ntuli, Luyanda Zwane, Wonder Ndlovu, Vuyo Biyela, Noluthando Shabalala, and Lwazie Keith Tsebesha. The series is directed by Akin Omotoso, Rolie Nikiwe and Nthabi Tau, with Busisiwe Zwane leading the writing team.
Blood Sisters S2|Stream from 5 June

Season two of the Nigerian crime thriller Blood Sisters, produced by EbonyLife Studios, premieres globally on 5 June, nearly three years after becoming one of Netflix’s biggest African originals. Created by Temidayo Makanjuola, the series blends suspense, family drama and crime within Lagos’ elite society. The first season followed best friends Sarah and Kemi, played by Ini Dima-Okojie and Nancy Isime, whose lives unravel after Sarah’s abusive fiancé disappears before their wedding. The series is executive produced by Mo Abudu.

Jennifer Lopez returns to the romantic comedy space in Office Romance, Netflix’s upcoming workplace rom com co starring Ted Lasso actor Brett Goldstein. The film follows two ambitious workaholics whose secret office relationship quickly spirals into chaos as professional boundaries and personal feelings collide. Directed by Ticket to Paradise filmmaker Ol Parker and written by Goldstein alongside Joe Kelly, the film blends sharp humour, romance and corporate drama into a playful modern love story. Avatar: The Last Airbender|Stream from 25 June

Aang must master earthbending to end the war, but the Earth Kingdom proves just as dangerous, where politics, secrets, and hidden alliances shape the battlefield. Season 2 of Netflix’s live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender focuses on Ba Sing Se, the kingdom’s capital. Azula (Elizabeth Yu) warns Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim), “The Earth Kingdom is going to fall,” in the new trailer. New characters include Joo Dee (Amanda Zhou), the library’s owl guardian, and the secret police, the Dai Li. Returning are the Blue Spirit and Jet (Sebastian Amoruso).

Oasis is a Spanish teen mystery thriller set in a luxury resort where a young woman’s disappearance triggers panic and suspicion. Guests and staff are trapped together, turning the location into a closed-circle whodunit where everyone becomes a suspect and trust quickly collapses. Created by Bambú Producciones and developed by Ramón Campos with Jon de la Cuesta Olaizola, Javier Chacártegui Horrach, David Orea Arribas, and Ricardo Jornet Gallego, the series is produced by Campos with executive production from Gema R. The Evil Lawyer|Stream from 11 June

Framed for a brutal crime he didn’t commit, a young attorney is forced to rely on a ruthless defense lawyer to clear his name and uncover the truth. The Evil Lawyer is an upcoming Thai legal drama directed by Nottapon Boonprakob, the award-winning filmmaker behind Mad Unicorn, and is set to premiere globally on Netflix on June 11, 2026. At the center is Mek (Nat Kitcharit), an idealistic lawyer whose faith in justice collapses when he is accused of murdering the son of powerful police chief Anan (Songsit Roongnophakunsri). Suddenly, he becomes the accused, with the system he once trusted turning against him. Colors of Evil: Black|Stream from 10 June

Polish psychological thriller Colors of Evil: Black follows newly reassigned prosecutor Leopold Bilski as he investigates the disappearance of children in a remote town haunted by a sinister local legend. Serving as the follow-up to Netflix’s 2024 hit Colors of Evil: Red, the film stars Jakub Gierszał, reprising his role as Bilski, alongside Marianna Zydek and Zdzisław Wardejn. Directed by Adrian Panek and based on Małgorzata Oliwia Sobczak’s Colors of Evil book series, the standalone crime drama unravels a chilling web of trauma, secrets and hidden lies as Bilski uncovers shocking links to an old missing persons case.

Another Self: Season 3 follows three friends Ada, Sevgi and Leyla as they return to a seaside town in Ayvalık in search of healing and new beginnings.
