Here’s a closer look at the most anticipated shows expected to make waves in 2026.
Die Kantoor S1|Now on kykNet and Showmax

Showmax is bringing a bold local twist to a global phenomenon with Die Kantoor, the South African adaptation of The Office, licensed by BBC Studios.
Filmed primarily in Afrikaans, the series is head-written and directed by Bennie Fourie, a SAFTA and Silwerskerm winner and co-creator of Hotel. Rapid Blue, the production company behind Is’thunzi is producing the series. Die Kantoor stars Albert Pretorius as Flip, the awkward office manager, supported by an ensemble cast that includes Schalk Bezuidenhout, Lida Botha, Carl Beukes, Ilse Oppelt, Daniah de Villiers, Mehboob Bawa, Sipumziwe Lucwaba, and newcomer Gert du Plessis.
kykNET will preview the first episode at 8PM on Sunday, 18 January, ahead of the Showmax double-episode premiere on Tuesday, 20 January.
Pimville S1|Now airing on SABC2

SABC 2 is expanding its drama slate with Pimville, a brand-new telenovela set in the vibrant township of Soweto. Positioned as the flagship of SABC 2’s New Era, Pimville explores ambition, resilience, love and consequence through powerful, authentic township storytelling.
Produced by Bakwena Productions, Pimville is a heartfelt and gripping story that explores love, ambition, betrayal, and the strength of community. Law, Love and Betrayal S2|Premieres 8 March on Mzansi Magic and 9 March on Showmax

Law, Love and Betrayal dives into the glamorous yet cut-throat world of legal drama, following the powerful Gumede family, played by Nimrod Nkosi and SAFTA winning actress Pearl Modiadie as their feud threatens the future of Gumede & Associates.

Fatal Seduction S3|Premieres on Netflix on 13 March

Fatal Seduction Season 3 is set to be the most suspense-filled chapter yet and the most anticipated show this year. Following the explosive events of previous seasons, the story pushes its characters further into a world of obsession, betrayal, and high-stakes consequences.
